Mentality shift

Everybody wants something. Now isn't that a open door. However, it is true. There isn't a person on this planet who doesn't want anything. Ok, granted, there might be one or two persons that don't have any needs, but trust me, most people have needs and wants. I know I have.

The big question is now: how do you get what you want?
Numerous people go through life thinking they want something, but have the general idea they will never get it. It gets worse. The majority of people THINK they will never get what they want, and they even ACCEPT it.

From the time we are young, we are conditioned to believe we can't get everything we want. As a little kid, you think all is possible. However, the whole day you get told by all different kind of adults, that you can't do this, do that and so forth.

So growing up, your dreams get diminished one by one, until you still have some wishes in your mind, but you believe these will not ever by accomplished.

So here is my advice: it all falls or stands with your MENTALITY.

Since you are conditioned from a young age (and you know this now, because I just told you so), it is now time to re-condition yourself. This means you will program yourself consciously to know and believe all is possible.

As you look around, think about this: EVERYTHING you see around you has once been a dream in someone's mind. The building on the corner is a dream manifested, as well as the car that just drove past you.

Please think about this if you will. You hold the key to your own happiness.  Get the mentality of not giving up, refuse to flow along with the mainstream!

Your dreams CAN come true, but you might have to change your mentality in order to get to the next step.

Food for the Mind

We all need to eat, every day. Some eat two times a day and some eat six times. What is important is: What do you eat?

There is a saying that goes: "You are what you eat".  I totally agree on this. Your body will reflect the things you eat. That is the reason there are such things as diets, and not to forget, diets are very popular. There might be millions of different kind of them.

Where am I going with this? I'll tell you.

If your body reflects and is shaped by the food you eat and the exercise you get, this is similar for the mind. Allow me to elaborate on that. If all you eat is junk food and you sit on the couch doing nothing, what do you get? That's right! A body that is out of shape (to say the least).

So if all you feed your mind is junk food and let it sit on its mental couch, doing nothing, what do you get? That's right! A big, fat, out of shape mind. So why aren't there millions of diets for the mind to get into shape?

You feed your mind, most of the times without being aware of it, with lots and lots of information every day, every minute, every second. YOU can determine what you feed your mind! It is your mind after all.

So, get in shape, do those mental push-ups, crunches and lunges. Read those good books, let your creativity flow, get your mind on a diet!

A Brand New Day

The best thing about a new day is the word 'new' which means you can do the day of yesterday all over, but better.

Isn't it remarkable that each night we go to bed and each morning we are sort of born again? Every day a new chance to move closer towards your goals. Every day a new set of 24 hours for you to fill in however you want to.

I know we all have obligations and responsibilities, but seriously, think about that. A new set of 24 hours to do whatever you want to do.

Here's a small piece of advice though. If you wish to achieve your goals set for the future, it starts with the decisions you make NOW. Yes, now, not in about 5 minutes, or tomorrow.

The people who are successful are those who make decisions in their present to make the future better. The people who are unsuccessful, however, make decisions in their present to make their present better.

Think about that for a minute.

The habits of your present day create the future you will have one day. So if you would think about your habits, no better yet, think about the goals you wish to accomplish in the future. These can be very little or very big goals. I personally believe it is better to set really big goals. To quote a very insprirational man named Jim Rohn:
"not for the goals itself, but for what it wil make of you to achieve it".

Now think about what kind of habits you should have in order to accomplish your goals. Are these already in your life? Are you performing the things on a regular basis that will get you where you want to be?
